This document presents the key discussions and outcomes of the international conference “Empowering Women and Girls through Safe Spaces,” held on March 20 in Athens, Greece. As a leading international forum, the event brought together experts, researchers, organizations, and policymakers to exchange knowledge, share insights, and strengthen collaboration in the fight against human trafficking. The conference explored the EU strategy for combating trafficking and the Women and Girls Safe Spaces (WGSS) approach to supporting survivors.
